NORA GASTON
Workshops
After teaching in college for many years I now concentrate on workshops with a small number of people exploring various media. These are held in my studio. This is mainly to explore drawing/painting/collages.
I also hold glass fusing and slumping workshops when demanded and includes sgraffito and cast glass.
I am also involved with the Change Minds project, exploring and responding to mental health issues. I spent 18 years as a resident artist artist in a hospital and saw how art can play a large part in the healing process. The results of the research of this project will br presented to Parliament in November 2017.
This 3D workshop was to explore ideas for a permanent metal sculpture to be placed in the communal walkway between the school and the Arts Centre
I regularly take a group of adults to explore images and techniques in the beautiful area where we live.
